The Oakland Raiders are certainly revamping this roster so far this offseason, adding another quality wide receiver to the fold on Wednesday.

The Oakland Raiders made a huge splash this past weekend, as it was announced that they would be trading with the Pittsburgh Steelers for Antonio Brown. During his time in the Steel City, Brown established himself as the premier wide receiver in football, and he will slide in as the No. 1 wideout for the Silver and Black in 2019.

Heading into the offseason, Oakland really only had Jordy Nelson as a proven commodity at wide receiver, as he headed a group that included rookie Marcell Ateman, and the unreliable Seth Roberts. On Wednesday, another wide receiver entered the fold, as the Raiders agreed to a deal for former Los Angeles Chargers wideout Tyrell Williams.

This is a great signing for the Raiders, who continue to stockpile talent around quarterback Derek Carr. This should be a breakout season for the sixth-year starter, who is entering his second season in Jon  Gruden’s offense, a scheme  that he seemed to master towards the end of last season.

Williams has not missed a game due to injury in his NFL career, showing incredible durability for Philip Rivers and the Chargers. He stepped up big time when Keenan Allen went down with a torn ACL a few years back, and possesses a nice blend of size, and the ability to go up and make big plays.

Williams is a big-bodied receiver, and Carr has shown throughout the years that he loves to attack using people of his size. He has been quite the story since latching on with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted rookie, and the hope is he can be a stellar third option at wide receiver for the Raiders in 2019 and beyond.
