2019 Oakland Raiders offseason: Player movement tracker
By Brad Weiss
Current list of draft picks
The Oakland Raiders will make their first selection in the 2019 NFL Draft at No. 4 overall, a pick they got for finishing with one of the worst records in football last season. In addition, Oakland will pick two more times in the first round, though they had to give up some huge assets to do so.
The pick at No. 24 comes from the Chicago Bears, who traded with the Raiders for star edge rusher Khalil Mack. The former Defensive Player of the Year helped Chicago to an NFC North title in year one in the Windy City, though they lost in the Wild Card Round.
At No. 27, the Raiders will pick for the Dallas Cowboys, who they traded Amari Cooper to during the season in 2018. Cooper had some huge moments in the Silver and Black, but was wildly inconsistent, though he did help the Cowboys win the NFC East this past season.
Here are the Raiders current 2019 NFL Draft picks.
- Round 1, Pick No. 4
- Round 1, Pick No. 24 (From Chicago Bears)
- Round 1, Pick No. 27 (From Dallas Cowboys)
- Round 2, Pick No. 35
- Round 4, Pick No. 106
- Round 5, Pick No. 140 (From New York Jets)
- Round 7, Pick No. 218
- Round 7, Pick No. 235 (From Seattle Seahawks)
Based on what the team has now, they will pick four times in the first 35 selections, which is pretty impressive no matter how you look at it.
Oakland has done a nice job bringing in talent over the past week or so, and it should continue as we inch closer to the 2019 NFL Draft. This is a team looking to right the ship for 2019 and beyond, and it looks like combination of general manager Mike Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden is a winning one.
