Oakland Raiders: 5 players to target at No. 35 overall
By Sanjit T.
Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama
The Oakland Raider’s haven’t had an explosive running back in a really long time. Although Josh Jacobs might go in the top 20, he could also fall due to running backs not being valued very high. If he were to fall to pick 35, the Raiders should draft him.
Josh Jacobs has been compared to Le’Veon Bell and Alvin Kamara, and I actually like those comparisons. Jacobs isn’t the typical back coming out of Alabama. Derek Henry, Trent Richardson, and Mark Ingram were all big backs that would punish the defenses linebacker. Jacobs isn’t that.
Jacobs is very quick and shifty with great vision. He’s also used all over the field. Not only is he a good running back out of the backfield, but like Bell and Kamara, Jacobs was used in the slot at wideout many times. Jacobs is a quick patience back, who isn’t scared of contact. He is ranked as the #1 back this year but could fall due to the value of running backs.
