Playmaking

Fant had 78 catches during his time in Iowa, and 19 of them went for touchdowns, so he was scoring about every four catches. For some reason the Iowa offense didn’t feature him or Hockenson nearly enough but when he was targeted he produced.

With the additions, Oakland has made on offense there might be limited targets to start for Fant if drafted so he’d need to make a significant impact whenever he touches the ball. And his production in college showed he can do just that

This doesn’t just mean big chunk plays but also includes work in the red zone where Fant has been tremendous. He was particularly useful at the goal line on sprint option plays where he simply outran defenders to the edge.
