Jose Sanchez’s 2019 win-loss prediction prior to the 2019 NFL Draft

Oh boy, this schedule that was handed to the Oakland Raiders is a real doozy. The Silver and Black are going to be tested straight out the gate. After their home game against the Kansas City Chiefs the Raiders won’t return to Oakland until November 3rd.

They can’t use the season to develop and build together. Jon Gruden’s offense especially has to hit the ground running and be explosive. He has all the veteran pieces, so the learning curve should be irrelevant.

All eyes will be on him and Derek Carr in year two of the system. However, despite the upgrades the schedule is still hard to shake off. Not to mention the difficult division they are. Even if the offense is solid, I have little faith in the defense.

The Raiders will be relying on rookies and second year players for their pass rush. A bold move that will not prove fruitful this season. 6–10 is the Raiders final record with a chance of 7-9 at best.
