The 2019 NFL Draft will begin tonight, with the first round kicking off what should be the most important draft in Oakland Raiders history.

The 2019 NFL Draft will kick off tonight, live from Nashville, and fans of the Oakland Raiders need to buckle in for what will be a long night. Not only does the team hold the No. 4 overall pick, thanks to their 4-12 record last season, but they also acquired two other first round selections later in the round.

Their next pick is slated to come at No. 24, where they will pick instead of the Chicago Bears, who  traded the pick to the Raiders for Khalil Mack. Three picks later, Oakland will once again be on the clock, as they will pick in place of the Dallas Cowboys, who gave them this pick for wide receiver Amari Cooper.

While the loss of Mack was huge last season, as the team mustered only 13 sacks as a team, they are in prime position to add three starters in the first round tonight. In addition, they have already bolstered this roster with a lot of the money freed up by not signing Mack, making this a much deeper team overall.

Here is how Raiders fans can watch the Round 1 action online.

Date: Thursday, April 25, 2019
Start Time: 8 p.m. EDT, 5 p.m. PT
TV: ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes, NFL Network

This offseason, Oakland has done a nice job adding talent on both sides of the ball, but the edge rusher spot is a real weakness up until this point. You would have to think the team will take a defensive lineman with their first selection in round one, and when it comes to edge rushers, this draft is loaded with them.

Make sure to tune into the draft coverage at the beginning of round one, as not only do the Raiders hold the No. 4 overall pick, but could move up or down in the first round. This is certain to be one of the more important drafts in team history, and if Mayock and Gruden can get it right on Thursday night, it will have an incredible long-term effect on this franchise moving forward.
