With the pick they received by trading Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears, the Oakland Raiders selected Josh Jacobs, and Twitter certainly had their say.
The Oakland Raiders went defense with their first pick, selecting Clelin Ferrell with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Twenty picks later, they focused on the offensive side of the ball, adding the best running back in the draft class.
Josh Jacobs was an absolute beast for the Alabama Crimson Tide last season, and is the kind of three-down back that Raiders head coach Jon Gruden loves. With Marshawn Lynch retiring this week, the Raiders needed someone to fill his shoes, and Jacobs can do that for this team in 2019, and beyond.
This offseason, Oakland brought in Isaiah Crowell, and they did re-sign Jalen Richard. Jacobs is going to be a perfect addition to this offense, which should be loaded with all the new talent they have brought in.
As the pick rolled in, Twitter certainly had their say, so let us take a look.

An incredible road for Jacobs

The plan is to build around Derek Carr, and the Raiders have certainly done that so far this offseason. Jacobs is not only a solid pick, but also a safe pick, as the Raiders continue to revamp this roster. There is the thought that you should never take a running back in the first round, but Jacobs could be very special.
There is still one more pick left for the Raiders tonight, as they still hold the No. 27 overall pick as this is being published. Do they move that pick, trading back for more Day 2 picks, or do they stay there? Only time will tell.
