With Round 1 of the 2019 NFL Draft in the rearview mirror, we move our attention to Day 2, where the Oakland Raiders have selections.
The Oakland Raiders had a solid first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, selecting three players who can help this team right away. Guys like Clelin Ferrell, Johnathan Abram, and Josh Jacobs could all be Day One starters for the Silver and Black, and that kind of haul has to have Raider Nation excited today.
Now the focus shifts towards Day 2, where the Raiders will hold only one pick heading into Friday night’s action. That pick will come early in round 2, as they hold the No. 35 overall selection, and there are still a bunch of players with first round grades available as we enter night No. 2.
The Raiders have done a tremendous job revamping this roster this offseason, and filled two big needs with their first two selections Thursday night. Ferrell is an outstanding edge rusher, who won two national titles with Clemson, while Jacobs is the kind of three-down back head coach Jon Gruden loves.
Here is how Raiders fans can watch the Round 1 action online.
Date: Friday, April 26, 2019
Start Time: 7 p.m. EDT, 4 p.m. PT
TV: ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes, NFL Network
Live Stream: Watch ESPN App, fuboTV, NFL.com/watch
Keep an eye on the Raiders on tonight, as they could surprise some people by grabbing more than just one pick. This is a team that still has holes left to fill, and if they cannot get more than one pick tonight, they still have four more selections to close out the draft on Saturday.
It will be interesting to see where the Raiders actually pick tonight, as they current hold No. 35, but there has been interest in the spot. They could trade it for two picks if they wanted to, and Mike Mayock has said he would like more draft capital in this range prior to the draft kicking off last night.
