The Oakland Raiders traded up to get another Clemson star, selecting wide receiver Hunter Renfrow with the No. 149 overall pick Saturday.

The Oakland Raiders have been moving and shaking all Saturday, and in the fifth round, they traded up for another former Clemson star. That man comes on the other side of the football as the other two, as they traded up to select Hunter Renfrow with the NO. 149 overall pick.

To move up, the Raiders had to send the No. 158 and 218 selections to the Dallas Cowboys, and now will hold only one more pick on Saturday. Renfrow is the third Clemson star to join the Silver and Black, and is another one who has performed at his best at the highest level of college football.

So far this offseason, Oakland has done a nice job putting weapons around quarterback Derek Carr, a guy that was rumored to be on the move early in the offseason. Obviously, that was all hearsay, and in his second season in Jon Gruden’s offense, Carr should have his best season as a pro.

During his time at Clemson, Renfrow helped the team to two national titles, and had at least 33 catches in each season. His best season came as a junior, where he hauled in a career-high 60 passes for over 600 yards.

Renfrow is a nice pickup, and like Ferrell and Mullen, comes with a championship pedigree. The Raiders have completely revamped this wide receiver group in 2019, and you can best believe Derek Carr is licking his chops at all of these solid weapons in the passing game.
