The Oakland Raiders filled a need with the addition of LSU tight end Foster Moreau, and here is how Twitter reacted to the selection Saturday.
The Oakland Raiders added a quality tight end in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, as they selected Foster Moreau from LSU. Moreau is a guy who is not only a solid run blocker, but is good in the passing game, and should be a contributor on special teams in year one.
Oakland needed help at the tight end position when Jared Cook went to the New Orleans Saints via free agency, so Moreau definitely helps the position group as a whole. He checks off a lot of boxes for this Raiders coaching staff, as he was a solid person on and off the field.
This team is being built around guys with leadership qualities, and Moreau is definitely a guy who fits that description. He was an absolute leader on the field, and in the locker room for the Tigers, and those are the kind of people this regime is drafting.
Here is how Twitter reacted

A tremendous leader
Raiders get #LSU TE Foster Moreau at No. 137.. Was a tremendous leader inside the Tigers program. Also displayed really good athleticism at the Combine.

Foster is excited to say the least
New Raiders TE Foster Moreau: “I feel like this is a team where we’re on the rise, and we’re doing stuff the right way.” Feels he can be immediate contributor in run game and special teams.

Another player the team coached at the Senior Bowl
Like new CB Isaiah Johnson, Raiders coached vs. TE Foster Moreau at Senior Bowl. Raiders TE coach Frank Smith privately worked him out. “I kind of hoped this would happen. ... I’ve been absolutely killing myself today watching this fricken’ draft, but it all worked out.”

The Raiders will pick again at No. 158 overall in the fifth round, and then will have two selections in the seventh round. Oakland traded down two spots with the Atlanta Falcons to get this 137 overall pick, adding the extra seventh rounder in the process.
