The Oakland Raiders added another edge rusher on Saturday afternoon, selecting Eastern Michigan’s Maxx Crosby at No. 106 overall.

We’ve reached the final day of the NFL draft, and the Oakland Raiders have made quite a stir up to this point. They took Clelin Ferrell, Josh Jacobs, and Johnathan Abram in the first round and Trayvon Mullen in the second. A trend of high character players who come from winning programs that can hopefully change what’s been a losing culture in Oakland for the better part of 16 seasons.

Now as we get into day 3, there is still plenty of work to be done. And with a surprising amount of talent left on the board, the Raiders are still in a position to possibly find more day one starters.

And with their #106 pick, the Raiders went back to the defensive line drafting Maxx Crosby out of Eastern Michigan.

Crosby was a combine standout back in February as he put up eye-popping numbers. He tested in the 90th percentile or above in every single drill so on paper this dude is an elite level athlete. Watching him the first thing that stands out are his quick hands his complement his burst off the ball.

Lack of strength is what likely made Crosby a 4th round pick, however he is an incredible athlete, and is the kind of guy who can help this team immediately. It was a necessity that the Raiders get better off the edge via the 2019 NFL Draft, and they certainly did just that on Saturday afternoon.
