Offense

For all the talk surrounding the Raiders moving on from Derek Carr, here we are, riding with the veteran for the sixth straight season. The fact is, Carr had a solid season in year one of Jon Gruden’s offense, and should be even better with all of the new weapons around him.

In 2018, Oakland struggled with issues all over their offense, including up front on the offensive line, and at the wide receiver position. They addressed some of those issues this offseason, especially at wide receiver, where they added the best wideout in the game.

Here is what the starting lineup could look like for the season opener against the Denver Broncos.

With the adding of former New England Patriots left tackle Trent Brown, Kolton Miller could be moved to the right side in year two. While the Raiders did not draft Lester Cotton, my belief is that he is going to turn heads, and is an absolute mauler, so he could surprise people and earn a starting job this summer.

At wideout, the combination of Tyrell Williams and Antonio Brown is going to be a deadly one, and rookie Hunter Renfrow will be tough to cover in the slot with those two guys on the outside. This could be one of the more explosive offenses we have seen in Oakland in a very long time.
