The 2019 NFL Draft is in the books, and for the Oakland Raiders, they got better on both sides of the ball, as they continue to revamp this roster.

After all of the waiting, all of the mocks and all of the rumors we finally made it through the 2019 NFL Draft, and the Oakland Raiders turned some heads. It’s usually post-draft that many of us will take the time to revisit mocks and rumors. In the case of the Oakland Raiders, it is very interesting to revisit rumors since they were expected to move on from quarterback Derek Carr.

Funny how that all played out in the end. This draft that just occurred was Jon Gruden’s second since returning to the sidelines, but his first with rookie general manager Mike Mayock. From breaking down selections in the booth to actually calling players that they are drafting them.

The big key to this draft was that it needed to be done together. Last year’s draft saw Gruden and former general manager Reggie McKenzie split the whole room by having their own boards. This years draft didn’t have a split in the war room.

In fact, there was hardly anyone in the room since Gruden and Mayock sent all the scouts home. It’s no wonder no one saw the Raiders taking Clelin Ferrell fourth overall, which further proved his point.

Let us dive in and take an indepth look at all nine 2019 NFL Draft picks for the Oakland Raiders.
