Round 7, Pick No. 230: Quinton Bell, Edge, Prairie View

It is quite the challenge to really detail a seventh round selection that Quinton Bell was for the Raiders. Bell was drafted 230th overall out of Prairie View A&M, which I’m sure many of us have heard (sarcasm).

What intrigues me the most about Bell is that he was actually a wide receiver. That is quite the story to switch to defensive end. So think about that, he spent majority of his college career as a receiver. Then switches to defensive end his senior year and becomes an NFL draftee.

The fact that he validated a selection after just 10 games says a lot about the guys motor and the traits he possess. I don’t want to bring that much hype on this player, but getting drafted off of tape from just 10 games is impressive.

Next. Coney could be a steal for the Oakland Raiders. dark

Bell is still clay that needs to shaped and molded, but who knows. He could very well be a solid rotational player on the defensive line.
