Darren Waller

Over the last two seasons, tight end Jared Cook has been the Raiders team leader in receiving yards. Whether it was because of a lack of talent at the wide receiver position, or Derek Carr loving to utilize his weapons at tight end, Cook had his two best seasons as a pro playing with the 28-year old signal-caller.

This offseason, Cook decided to hang up his Silver and Black, signing with the New Orleans Saints as a free agent. That means that someone on this roster will have to step up and be the pass-catching option at tight end for Carr and this offense in 2019, and that man should be Darren Waller.

Looking at Waller, you can see an incredible physical specimen, but he has not been able to keep himself in line during his NFL career. He showed flashes last season late in the year, and has all the of the ability you need to be an elite pass-catching tight end at the NFL level, and if he can play a full slate of games, he could play a major role in this Raiders offense.
