The Oakland Raiders did a nice job adding quality players on both sides of the ball this offseason, and here are three starters who could be replaced because of it.
During the 2019 offseason, Oakland Raiders new general manager Mike Mayock had a pretty tough task ahead of him, as he would try to rebuild a roster that won only four games last season. With head coach Jon Gruden at the peak of the org chart in the Raiders organization, Mayock would not only have to revamp the roster, but do it with Gruden, who has not made the best personnel decisions in the past.
Starting with the trade for wide receiver Antonio Brown, Mayock and Gruden made solid move, after solid move, and this is a roster that is much-improved over last season. The duo was able to bring in talent at positions of need, including defensive end, where they used three of their nine draft picks.
The 2019 Raiders are going to look a lot different than the 2018 version, and that is a good thing, as the franchise built around franchise quarterback Derek Carr this offseason. With the talent they currently have, they could certainly double their win total from last year, but they will have to navigate the hardest strength of schedule in the NFL to do so.
Heading into OTAs, here are three starters that could be in danger of losing their starting spot in 2019.
