The Oakland Raiders added Josh Jacobs to the roster in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and he should bring an exciting element to the offense.

The 2019 Oakland Raiders will have a brand new look on both sides of the ball, as first-year general manager did a nice job revamping this roster this offseason. On offense, he brought in multiple options in the passing game, adding Hunter Renfrow, Tyrell Williams, and Antonio Brown among others.

At running back, Mayock also added a threat in the passing game in Alabama running back Josh Jacobs. During his time at Alabama, Jacobs was able to do a little bit of everything for head coach Nick Saban, and the Raiders were quick to grab him with the No. 24 overall pick in the first round.

That pick came to the Raiders via the Khalil Mack trade, and while Jacobs will not fill the shoes left vacant by Mack on the defensive side of the ball, he should make his presence felt on offense. He has a special set of skills in the run, and pass game, and can even throw it when needed.

Of course, Jacobs was a quarterback in high school, and you could definitely see Gruden mixing in some wildcat plays at some point this season. The fact is, Jacobs is a threat anywhere you put him on the field, and is going to be the perfect three-down back in this offense as he continues along in his NFL career.

Many believe Jacobs will have a monster season in his first year in the Silver and Black, as he has the highest odds, outside of the two quarterbacks (Kyler Murray and Dwayne Haskins), of taking home Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. The Raiders spent a first round draft pick on Jacobs, and the expectation is that he will add a dimension to this offense that it has been missing.
