Key additions

It was no big secret that Vance Joseph was on his way out as head coach, and the Broncos did not take long to bring in his replacement. Vic Fangio has been coaching in the NFL for over 30 years, but the 2019 season will be his first shot as a head coach.

Denver had one of the better drafts of any team in the NFL, bringing in quality players on both sides of the ball. Two guys who should make an instant impact are first round pick, Noah Fant, a stellar tight end from Iowa, and Dalton Risner, a versatile offensive lineman from Kansas State who the Broncos got in the second round.

Key losses

The loss of Keenum will not be a huge deal, as he was wildly inconsistent in his only season as the starting quarterback in Denver. While Flacco may not be necessarily a better quarterback than Keenum, he is also not worse, so the impact this loss has on the roster will be minimal.

Looking at the defensive side of the ball, Denver lost two leaders in Shane Ray and Brandon Marshall, but they once again have a solid defensive unit on all three levels. Bradley Chubb and Von Miller are a devastatingly good pass rushing duo, and the addition of Jackson and Callahan to the defensive backfield will improve the group.
