Defense/ Specialist

The Broncos defense should be solid once again in 2019, as they have excellent players at all three levels of the unit. Up front, Derek Wolfe and Bradley Chubb are strong presences on the edge, and the Broncos added a solid defensive tackle in Dre’Mont Jones from Ohio State in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

At linebacker, Denver will have to replace Brandon Marshall this season, but former Iowa linebacker Josey Jewell is a tackling machine. Bryce Callahan and Kareem Jackson were added to a secondary that already includes Chris Harris, which will be a good test for Derek Carr and this revamped passing attack in Week 1 this Fall.

In terms of the kicking game, the Broncos have two guys who can really get the job done in kicker Brandon McManus and punter Colby Wadman. Of course, kicking in that thin air of Denver does not hurt, but these are two players who are certainly assets when it comes to special teams.
