The Seventh Round

Four of the Raiders nine draft picks in the 2017 NFL Draft came in the seventh round, and with that haul, they brought in very little substance for the roster long-term. Their first pick in that round was Shalom Luani, who was traded to the Seattle Seahawks on September 1, 2018 for a draft pick.

Ten picks later, at No. 231 overall, Oakland selected offensive lineman Jylan Ware, who, like Luani, was out of the Raiders organization by early September in 2018. He tried to latch on with the New York Giants, but as of this offseason, he is a free agent.

With the No. 242 and 244 overall picks in that seventh round, the Raiders added North Carolina running back Elijah Hood, and defensive tackle Trayvon Hester out of Toledo. Hood is currently a member of the Carolina Panthers, while Hester currently plays for the Philadelphia Eagles.
