Conclusion

The additions of Conley and Lee should have a lasting effect on this roster, as both players have proven that they can be productive at the NFL level. In 2019, Conley will return to  the starting lineup, leading the Raiders revamped secondary, but Lee may be relegated back to the bench as the team will likely go with veterans Marshall, Burfict, and Tahir Whitehead.

The tandem of Vanderdoes and Sharpe will be interesting to keep an eye on this summer, as they will play a big role in whether or not this 2017 draft class has more than two players on the current roster. Vanderdoes is a talented guy, and Sharpe is decent when it comes to depth, and both have a good chance to make the team out of camp.

The Raiders had a pretty solid 2018 NFL Draft in Jon Gruden’s return to the team, and the 2019 draft, where Gruden combined with Mike Mayock has been seen as a home run to many experts. The 2017 draft class did not bring many big pieces to this roster, but two of them have the opportunity to be cornerstones of this defense for years to come.
