Oakland Raiders have a cast of characters in the locker room, so what?

The Oakland Raiders have brought in an interesting set of characters this offseason, but they should gel nicely this summer.

Every year, teams are constantly changing for the better, and this year, Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock have done a great job at changing the Oakland Raiders. However, it seems like everywhere we look on social media, the mass media is pushing out nothing but negativity pertaining to the Raiders roster moves.

When they traded for Antonio Brown, Twitter went crazy over how horrible he will be in Oakland, often taking shots at Derek Carr. That narrative has quickly faded away, as they have developed a nice rapport early on this offseason.

The bottom line is, this is a Raiders team that is going to be much improved this season, and social media needs to relax. Brown wore out his welcome in Pittsburgh, but this is a brand new culture, and a chance to turn the page.

Take a look at this Twitter exchange after the Raiders got AB.

When Oakland signed Vontez Burfict, people mocked it. They said Brown and Burfict would eventually start fighting, or cause some sort of locker room split.

When they signed Trent Brown, others mocked that too. Saying they paid way too much:

No matter what the Raiders do, there is a lot of negativity. And of course with the recent Richie Incognito signing, all we will see is more jokes:

When will the jokes stop? People act like these aren’t grown men playing for there own livelihoods and families. Do you think Richie Incognito is going to punch Burfict in the face and risk losing out on $2M?

People love to make fun of these players and put there own twist to things. The main issue I have on it is how much do they really follow the player?

Antonio Brown is one of the hardest workers out there. He trains very hard every day and is always eating correctly to keep his body in top shape. This is never mentioned.

He isn’t doing that because he has a grudge against Burfict, who is actually known as a super friendly person off the field. It’s only on the field that gives him a bad name.

Overall, I don’t think there is anything wrong with having these three guys on the field at the same time, or the roster signings.

In fact, they will all have significant positive impacts on the Silver and Black. They will compete with each other and push other players to get better. Richie Incognito has a lot to prove and a massive chip on his shoulder and could be the starting LG for us this year.

Overall, Gruden and Mayock have done a fantastic job with there signings, and I love the fact the Raiders future is in the hands of these two men moving forward.
