Linebacker (7): Marquel Lee, Vontaze Burfict, Tahir Whitehead, Brandon Marshall, Te’von Coney, Jason Cabinda, Nicholas Morrow

The Oakland Raiders knew they needed to improve the linebacker group after last season, and they certainly did that over the last few months. After bringing in a veteran in Tahir Whitehead last offseason, the Raiders doubled down in 2019, adding Brandon Marshall and Vontaze Burfict, two former Pro Bowl talents in the NFL.

Those three guys should be the starters in 2019, giving the young players behind them a chance to continue to improve at the NFL level. Marquel Lee is a solid linebacker, and will vie for a starting role, and Jason Cabinda showed towards the end of last season that he is much more than just an undrafted free agent from Penn State.

Staying with undrafted rookies, Te’von Coney from Notre Dame should make the team, and will eventually be the team’s middle linebacker of the future. Nicholas Morrow should also finish up camp as a member of the 53-man roster, but will be pushed by James Cowser for the final linebacker spot.
