Jason Cabinda

After a solid college career at Penn State, one that saw him earn Third-team All-Big Ten honors, linebacker Jason Cabinda was not drafted in the 2018 NFL Draft. However, the Raiders came calling in May, signing him as an undrafted rookie free agent.

The team would end up waiving Cabinda on September 1, but added him to the practice squad. A month later, Cabinda would be promoted to the active roster, and played very well as a rookie. Heading into this offseason, he looks to be in great shape, and should battle it out for one of the backup linebacker spots in 2019.

Next offseason, Cabinda is going to be a free agent, and the Raiders would be wise to continue to keep him in the fold. He has shown that he has the talented to be a solid linebacker at the NFL level, and if he can continue to grow behind some of these veterans, he could be a starter for this team down the line.
