The Oakland Raiders once again hold multiple first round picks next April, and one mock draft has them loading up the defense.

The Oakland Raiders held three first round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, and brought back talented players for both sides of the ball. After drafting edge rusher Clelin Ferrell at No. 4 overall, the Raiders grabbed Alabama running back Josh Jacobs at No. 24, before ending their first round with Mississippi State safety Johnathan Abram at No. 27.

In 2020, the Raiders will once again hold multiple first round draft picks, and we have already seen a bunch of mock drafts come out with them selecting a quarterback early. That is not going to happen, as they have a franchise guy in Derek Carr, and one writer actually had the team selecting areas of need next April.

In his latest 2020 NFL Mock Draft for Draft Wire, Luke Easterling has the Raiders selecting two defensive players with their two picks. Early in round one, he has them taking Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses, before rounding out the first round with Florida cornerback C.J. Henderson.

Both players would be welcome additions to this Raiders roster, and Moses would make back-to-back drafts with the Raiders selecting a member of the Crimson Tide in the first round. Oakland did a lot to get better in the secondary this offseason, but adding a talent like Henderson would be well worth it.

Easterling actually mocked the first two rounds, but the Chicago Bears will get their pick in the second due to the Khalil Mack trade.

Next. Have the Raiders improved the pass rush enough?. dark

Of course, it is still very early to be really diving into these mock drafts, and we all saw how wrong the experts were last year. The Raiders need to continue to add to the defense, so these two picks make a lot of sense, but we still have a long way to go until next April.
