The Oakland Raiders have a solid roster heading into the 2019 season, and these four players will be crucial to their success this Fall.

The Oakland Raiders have a talented roster going into 2019, adding a mix of veterans and rookies to help the team get to the next level. In 2018, there were multiple players who showed promise, but have not reached their potential, and will need to make improvements this season to keep their spots in the lineup.

As excited as Raiders fans are about the 2019 season, it must be remembered that Oakland finished the 2018 season with a 4-12 record. As much as the new additions to the team will help the Raiders, there are some players on the roster who will have to improve a ton if the Raiders want to become a playoff contender.

There are improvements that need to be made in every positional group for the Raiders. The Raiders offense all together was not impressive last season, ranking in the bottom half of the league in terms of points per game and yards per game. The Raiders defense was no different, as they had the worst pass rush in the entire NFL, and ranked in the bottom half of the league in terms of yards allowed.

Clearly every player on the team needs to continue to improve, but some players need to make bigger jumps than others. The Raiders are in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL, and they need to get the most out of their former draft picks, the players they put a lot of money into, and even their role players.

Let’s take a look at some of the players on the Raiders rosters that need to make the biggest improvements for the team to be successful in 2019.
