Running Back position battle

The Raiders have five running backs who would make most NFL rosters, but there will probably only be four on the roster after training camp. Josh Jacobs and Doug Martin have their spots locked, and it seems as if Jalen Richard does, as well.

Although Jalen Richard has done nothing incredible, he has proven to be effective in the passing game, as where Deandre Washington and Chris Warren have not proven enough.

Deandre Washington has been on the Raiders for three seasons now, and has not done much for the team since his rookie season. Last year, Washington rushed 30 times for 115 yards and no touchdowns. If Washington did not make the team, it would not have much of an effect on the Raiders.

Chris Warren had a great pre season last year, and is most well known for trucking a Lions linebacker in a practice game a year ago. Warren showed promise in his rookie pre season last year, rushing for 292 yards and two touchdowns, rushing for five yards per carry.

Many people thought that Warren would make the roster last season, but the Raiders held off on that. This year, it will be Washington vs Warren at training camp, a battle worth keeping an eye on.
