Doug Martin

Doug Martin came to the Raiders in the offseason leading up to the 2018 season, after spending his first six seasons in Tampa Bay. When starter Marshawn Lynch went down with a groin injury in 2018, Jon Gruden turned to veteran running back Doug Martin to be the feature back.

Martin showed a significant resurgence in his career from the previous season that started with a suspension due to the NFL substance abuse policy and disappointing season in which he finished with 406 yards and a career low 2.9 yards per carry. Doug Martin bounced back under Jon Gruden and finished the 2018 season with 723 yards and four touchdowns and 4.2 yards per carry, however Martin also had three costly fumbles late in games that the Raiders were unable to rebound from.

Martin is a solid change of pace back and will serve as a mentor to rookie Josh Jacobs, Martin should be a lock to make the roster and the No. 2 back.
