Key Additions and Losses

The Indianapolis Colts came out of nowhere to once again establish themselves as a threat in the AFC, and they did a nice job adding talent this offseason. With a lot of money to spend entering free agency, the Colts may not have gotten huge names, but they got players they need to round out the roster.

Their additions will certainly help the defense, as they signed former Chiefs star Justin Houston to man one of their linebacker spots. During the 2019 NFL Draft, they added a strong linebacker as well in Ben Banogu, and bolster their secondary with cornerback Rock Ya-Sin, as both Banogu and Ya-Sin were two of their three second round picks.

Also in the second round, Indy added Ohio State wideout Parris Campbell, who was one of the fastest players in the draft. In free agency, the Colts brought in Devin Funchess from the Colts, giving Luck another solid veteran weapon in the passing game.

Outside of wide receiver Ryan Grant and Dontrelle Inman, this roster looks to be in tact, which could spell trouble for the rest of the AFC South. There is no reason why this team cannot fight to be one of the top seeds in the AFC this season.
