The Oakland Raiders brought in a bunch of talent on the offensive side of the ball this offseason, but where do they stack up with the rest of the AFC West.

The AFC West is one of the toughest divisions in the entire NFL. The Chargers and Chiefs were both Super Bowl contenders last season, and the Broncos always come to play. How does this new roster of Raiders match up with the rest of the division?

Quarterback

The AFC West is full of solid quarterbacks on three of the four teams, with two teams holding two of the best in the league. Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs takes the cake in this one, with Phillip Rivers falling just behind. Derek Carr of the Raiders falls in third in this category, simply because of how good the other two quarterbacks in the division are.

Both Mahomes and Rivers are arguably in the top five of the NFL in terms of quarterbacks right now, so even if Derek Carr had a season like he did in 2016, he may fall in third place compared to these two. Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco falls behind Carr on this list, as he has shown no signs of improvement over the last few seasons.

Whether the starting QB for the Broncos is Flacco or rookie Drew Lock, Derek Carr should comfortably sit ahead of them all season, as he is not only the better QB, but is surrounded by better weapons.
