Maurice Hurst

Maurice Hurst had a solid rookie season, tallying 31 tackles, four sacks, and being the only real bright spot on the Raiders defensive line. Although four sacks is nothing great, he did lead the Raiders in sacks last season, and with some help, he surely should increase that number in this upcoming season.

Hurst has overcome a ton of doubt from the draft a year ago, and has proved those who passed up on him wrong. Hurst fell all the way to the fifth round because of a health condition, even though his talent showed him to be a possible first round pick.

At 24 years old, if Hurst can continue to improve, he should be a staple of this Raiders defense for years to come.
