The experts over at CBS Sports recently put together their top-100 list for the 2019 season, and the Oakland Raiders got no love once again.

Last season, the Oakland Raiders put together a four-win season, so it is no big surprise that many of the national experts are down on them heading into 2019. This is a team that has only one winning season since 2002, and for most, they appear to be a team that is heading towards another season below .500.

However, new general manager Mike Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden had a stellar offseason, bringing in a bunch of talent on both sides of the ball. This is a roster with much more talent than they had last season, though only one of the Raiders made CBS’ list of the top-100 players in the game.

In a piece by Jared Dubin, the experts at CBS Sports got together and voted on their top-100 players for the 2019 NFL season. In the list, there was only one player representing the Silver and Black, Antonio Brown, whose ranking was quite low for a guy who could be the best wide receiver in the NFL.

Brown was rated as the No. 39 overall player according to CBS, putting him as the No. 5 wide receiver in the NFL. DeAndre Hopkins, Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr. and Michael Thomas were all ranked above Brown, as well as all being in the top-20.

There are some other Raiders that should have been on this list, including All-Pro center Rodney Hudson, who many believe is the best in the game at his position. In addition, Derek Carr is a guy who should have been on the list, especially when you consider the likes of Baker Mayfield and Jared Goff are both on it.

Former Raiders defensive end Khalil Mack was ranked as the No. 3 overall player, coming in behind Aaron Donald at No. 1, and Patrick Mahomes at No. 2. Overall, the Raiders were pretty much shut out of these rankings, and while this means nothing in terms of what happens on the field this season, players never like to be disrespected when it comes to their place in the game.
