Linebacker(5): Vontaze Burfict, Jason Cabinda, Marquel Lee, Tahir WhiteheadNicholas Morrow

The linebackers are really deep this year. With all the depth, I don’t think the Raiders need to keep either of the rookie linebackers on the active squad. The best thing to do is put them on the practice squad and let them develop.

If either proves themselves, they can be called up later on in the season. Two veterans who could be cut this summer would be Brandon Marshall and Kyle Wilber, but that would certainly be a big surprise if it happens.

As far as the other veterans, Vontaze Burfict, Tahir Whitehead, and Marquel Lee should see a ton of playing time on early downs. While Morrow and Cabinda should play more on passing downs. One of the hardest things to do while predicting a 53-man roster is to envision which role the coach sees each of these players in.
