The Oakland Raiders 2019 training camp will officially kick off today, as the rookies make their way to Napa to start Year No. 1.

Today is the day, as the future of the Oakland Raiders reports to training camp. Last season, head coach Jon Gruden and the Raiders front office gave away two pro bowl caliber players to receive first round draft picks, and now those draft picks will finally be here to prove that they were worth it.

The Raiders have an abundance of rookies reporting to the team tomorrow, including the three first round picks in Clelin Ferrell, Josh Jacobs, and Johnathan Abram. These three rookies are expected to start for the Raiders and make an immediate impact, but the rest of the rookies could make just as big of an impact on the field, as well.

This training camp will be one to pay attention with these rookies fighting for playing time. Although Josh Jacobs has the starting job locked up, he will still have other running backs coming for his spot, and it should make for good entertainment on the field.

Clelin Ferrell will be competing against Kolton Miller and Trent Brown, two other players with big questions surrounding them. The same goes for Maxx Crosby, as he has a real chance to get a starting spot on the defensive line if he performs well at camp and in the preseason.

Johnathan Abram will be starting, but it will be entertaining to see how he and Karl Joseph work together, as well as with the other defensive backs. The Raiders will have three players on the field at once who usually play safety, and covering Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams in practice will be no easy task.

Another defensive back that will get a lot of attention is second round pick Trayvon Mullen. Mullen will be competing for playing time, and without a lock for the CB2 position, Mullen will look to push for that position.

With that being said, the rookie defensive backs will also have to deal with rookie Hunter Renfrow, who has fans excited going into 2019. Renfrow will see a ton of playing time during season as a slot receiver, and he will have a lot of eyes on him at training camp.

All eyes will be on this rookie class this training camp, and knowing that they report tomorrow should have Raiders fans excited. It is a completely new team than last season, and a lot is riding on the production of this group of rookies. The last season in Oakland is bound to be an exciting one, and it is finally about to start.
