Left Guard

Early on in the offseason, the Oakland Raiders traded away starting left guard Kelechi Osemele to the New York Jets, basically to free up cap space. Later on, they brought in former Pro Bowl offensive guard Richie Incognito, who was immediately earmarked as the starter replacing Osemele.

Well, Incognito will be suspended for the first two games of the regular season, leaving a big opportunity for someone to step in and fill that role. One of the players expected to step in and do so was Denzelle Good, who played well last season for the Raiders, but will be out for some time after having surgery on his back.

One name to keep an eye on is Lester Cotton Sr., and undrafted rookie free agent from Alabama. He was an absolute mauler for the Crimson Tide, and will have to stave off guys like Jonathan Cooper, a former first-rounder, and Denver Kirkland, a veteran, if he wants to start on this team as a rookie.
