From early reportings in training camp, it’s looking likely that the Oakland Raiders will get big contributions from the young rookies this coming season.

With a new roster filled with new faces, young and old, there is plenty to look forward to as the Oakland Raiders are primed to bounce back from a struggling season a year ago. After constructing one of the older rosters in the league, Oakland looked to get younger, impactful players in free agency.

Of course with three draft picks in the first round alone, the Raiders also added in a group of rookies with promising talent. The belief was that this rookie class could be developed and keep this franchise competitive for the future. Yet with training camp having already kicked off, it’s looking likely that these rookies will be ready to contribute sooner rather than later.

A re-loaded offense welcomes a young, tough running halfback in the first-round pick Josh Jacobs. Lamarcus Joyner, one of the big free-agent acquisitions, has already taken a mentorship role to Jonathan Abram.

Yet those two are not the only young faces ready to help move this franchise in the right direction. Both sides of the ball will see rookies ready to contribute early on in 2019.
