Recapping the Oakland Raiders joint practices with the Rams

Jacobs impresses Gurley
Rams running back Todd Gurley was also impressed by Jacobs. “He’s a great running back, got a chance to watch him at Alabama,” Gurley said. “You know, he’s a first-round pick with a lot of talent.” Jacobs wasn’t the only back getting involved. Jalen Richard caught a pass by Carr on an option route out of the backfield and he took it for a touchdown.
Overall day one was pretty good, especially when you consider Day two was even better for Oakland’s offense.
Prior to the two teams meeting up for the joint practices, Jacobs had expressed that he wanted to learn from Gurley. The veteran running back is one of the best in the game, and has a similar skill set to Jacobs in that he can not only get the big yards on the ground, but he can also play a big role in the passing game.
