Stock up: Anthony Rush

On August 1st, the Raiders brought in rookie undrafted free agent Anthony Rush to training camp for added defensive line depth in the wake of the release of Last Chance U star Ronald Ollie and the sidelining of Eddie Vanderdoes due to a concussion.

Rush, a 6-foot-5 350-pound Defensive tackle out of the University of Alabama Birmingham recorded 2 sacks and 26 tackles (11 of which for  loss) in his senior year at UAB picked up exactly where he left off in college and recorded 3 solo tackles and spent a majority of his time in the game stonewalling the offensive line, often in a double team.

Rush played extremely well against the run and freed up the A gap for the Raiders linebackers to make a play. On a night where the Raiders defense looked very good, Rush was definitely a standout player.
