Cornerback (5): Gareon Conley, Nick Nelson, Daryl Worley, Trayvon Mullen, Keisean Nixon

By far the most impressive corner for me has been Keisean Nixon. The rookie has been targeted eight times and has given up only three catches for 26 yards. He has yet to give up a touchdown either. That is really impressive when you consider he’s played on over 50 coverage plays.

Nevin Lawson has also been really impressive, however he is out for the first four weeks due to suspension. Once he comes back, I can see Nixon being demoted to the practice squad. And although Nick Nelson got beat badly on a deep pass vs. the Cardinals, he’s still shown a lot of potential, especially when it comes to tackling.

Daryl Worley played well last season and is listed as the starter for now. He and Gareon Conley should be able to play really well together. One thing I saw last night, however, is Conley playing right cornerback. Which is something he did very rarely last season?

This could mean the Raiders are getting ready for rookie Trayvon Mullen at his natural left cornerback spot, but we will have to wait and see.

Suspended: Nevin Lawson
Practice Squad: Isaiah Johnson
