Young wideouts battle for roster spots

The Raiders have a solid group of receivers this season, but unfortunately, not all of them will make the team. Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams, J.J. Nelson, and Hunter Renfrow are locks for roster spots as of now, but a few others have impressed in the first two preseason games.

Rico Gafford caught a 53-yard touchdown last week early in the game, but only had one catch for three yards in the previous week. Keon Hatcher has recorded three catches for over 50 yards in the last two weeks, with 45 of those coming in the first game.

Keelan Doss may be the most impressive so far, as he has recorded seven catches for 47 yards, and has a lot of buzz around him.

Veteran Ryan Grant and roster hopeful Marcell Ateman will also be battling for roster spots, as Grant has similar stats to the previously mentioned receivers, and Ateman has been almost non existent in both games.

The game against the Packers will be one of great importance for these receivers, as all of them have had similar stat lines after two weeks. Clearly stats are not all that matters, but none of them have broken away from the rest of the pack in any form, so these last two weeks will determine who makes the roster.
