Ethan Westbrooks

Sometimes in order to make it in the NFL, you need to have a little luck on your side. Ronald Ollie’s brief stint in training camp might be the bit of luck that Ethan Westbrooks needed. The former Los Angeles Ram has made the most of his opportunity with Oakland.

Through two preseason games, Westbrooks has registered six total pressures, which ranks tied for second among all interior defensive linemen. The veteran defensive lineman is the second highest PFF graded player on the Raiders defense (minimum 22 snaps). With production like this, there might just be a spot on the roster for Westbrooks.

Pass rush was an issue for Oakland in 2018, so a defensive lineman getting pressure on the quarterback is a pretty good way to catch this coaching staff’s eyes. If Westbrooks can keep this pace up for two more weeks, he might force the coaching staff to keep him around.
