Three Stars

1. Keisean Nixon

Nixon’s name was heard early and often in this game. Last week, Nixon led the team in tackles, but this week, he made himself known in a different way. The Packers tried to attack Nixon with deep balls all game long, but Nixon was not letting up. With five passes defended, Nixon saved the Raiders from giving up a lot of big touchdowns, and may have earned himself a spot on the roster.

2. De’Mornay Pierson- El

Pierson-El is known more for his kick return and punt return abilities more than his receiving ability, but tonight, he put that part of his game on notice. Pierson-El recorded six catches for 48 yards, and caught a touchdown in the fourth quarter that put the team within one possession. Although Keelan Doss and Rico Gafford had incredible games, and will more than likely make the team before Pierson-El does, he still deserves to be named a star of tonight’s game.

3. Nathan Peterman

Nathan Peterman more than likely won the backup QB job for the Raiders tonight, as he showed a lot of poise, grit, and talent when his team needed him. Peterman got the offense going late in the game, scoring a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, and leading his team down field, even converting on a 4th and 7 on the game winning drive. Peterman finished the night with 230 yards and 2 touchdowns in three quarters of play, as he should be starting to not only grow on Raider Nation, but should be starting to get respect around the league, as well.
