Clelin Ferrell

Clelin Ferrell, the former forth-overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft will be followed under a close microscope for years to come. Although he has no correlation to Khalil Mack, he’s technically Mack’s replacement for the immediate future.

From all indications coming from training camp, Ferrell has been a standout over the last month in Napa, including the joint practice against the Rams. However, during the preseason games, Ferrell hasn’t appeared to steal the spotlight by making too many standout plays. In two games Ferrell has recorded just three solo tackles.

Ferrell is someone to watch closely once he takes the field against the Packers in week 3. He was drafted fourth overall for a reason. Ferrell is highly capable of being an impact edge rusher in the NFL, now he just needs to put his skill set out on display and show what the hype is all about.

His job is in know means in jeopardy, but with all the anticipation following the highly touted prospect, his reps on the field are something that will be followed closely. The Raiders only recorded 13 sacks last season, so the Raiders are hopeful that Ferrell can be the equalizer to flip the script about the Raiders defensive line.
