Preview

Though it is technically considered a home game for the Raiders, the game against the Packers will be played up North, as they travel to Winnipeg, Manitoba for preseason game No. 3. This is a great opportunity for the NFL to expand their brand once again, and like they usually do during the regular season, it will be the Silver and Black playing international football.

The Packers were expected to play quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the first half in this one, like he does in the third preseason game, but new head coach Matt LaFleur may decide to have him sit this one out. That means that it will once again be a battle of backups in terms of the quarterback spot, as Mike Glennon and Nathan Peterman will share all the reps for the Raiders tonight.

For both teams, there are plenty of players looking to latch on for the regular season, which should make this one a spirited battle. Both of these teams were on the outside looking in during the playoffs last season, though both are expected to bounce back in 2019, thanks to all the additions to their rosters.
