The Oakland Raiders head north of the border for their third preseason game against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

Commonly known as the “dress rehearsal game,” the Oakland Raiders will face the Green Bay Packers in their third preseason game. The game will take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada at IG Field, and will be the first of two games against the Packers, as these teams will play Week 7 of the regular season.

The Packers are entering this game 1-1 after their loss in Week 2 versus the Baltimore Ravens. Despite that, new head coach Matt LaFleur takes over a pretty talented roster, starting with All-Pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers. However, don’t expect to see much of their offensive scheme, since Rodgers has yet to throw a pass this preseason.

For the Raiders, they are coming off an impressive win versus the Arizona Cardinals and will look to build off that. We could see a few of the starters again in Week 3, but this game will likely be another chance for backups to finalize rosters spots.

Here is all the info you need to watch the game.

This game should feature some exciting position battles at multiple positions. Including the interior of both trenches, wide receiver, and defensive back. Depth is incredibly vital at those spots, and we will see who continues to emerge.

The Raiders will have one more game after this in their preseason schedule, and then it will be up to general manager Mike Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden to trim this roster down to the 53-man group for Week 1 against the Denver Broncos. The deadline for the roster to be set is Saturday, August 31 at 4pm ET, which is two days after the team wraps up their preseason on the road against the Seattle Seahawks.
