Stock Up: De’Mornay Pierson-El
De’Mornay Pierson-El was looked at as a player who was used strictly for his returning abilities, but he proved he was more than that Thursday.
Pierson-El was a great target for Nathan Peterman all through the game, recording six catches for 48 yards and a touchdown. Pierson-El may not be the best receiver on the field, but his return abilities mixed with his ability to get open and bring the ball in would be enough to land him a roster spot on a lot of teams.
If it weren’t for Dwayne Harris, Pierson-El would probably make the Raiders roster, but that doesn’t mean that his great performance against the Packers, along with a great performance next week, would hold him away from finding a home somewhere else.
The hype of Keelan Doss and expectations that he will make the roster may be down playing Pierson-El’s performance, but you can guarantee that Mayock and Gruden are taking notice of what he did Thursday.
