Oakland Raiders Stock Report: 3 up, 3 down from preseason game No. 3
By Nick Ellis
Stock Up: Nathan Peterman
There is not question that Jon Gruden is a fan of Nathan Peterman, but not many people were buying it. Peterman has done just about all he can to silence the criticism, and his play against the Packers may have been his best performance yet.
Peterman stepped in for the Raiders during the second quarter, as he was able to lead the Raiders to the end zone on his first drive of the game, finding Keith Smith in the end zone for the touchdown.
When the fourth quarter came, Peterman stepped up for the team, leading the Raiders down the field, finding Pierson-El in the back of the end zone to make it a two point game, then driving down the field in a two minute drill on a great drive, including a 4th and 7 conversion to put the team in field goal range.
With Mike Glennon struggling, and the excitement that Gruden is showing in Peterman, there is a strong case to be made for Peterman to make the team come week 1.
