Oakland Raiders at Seattle Seahawks: 3 things to watch
Too Many Receivers?
Last season it didn’t help Derek Carr that the offensive line was gutted by injuries, leaving him with subpar pass protection. The icing on the cake was the depleted talent at the receiver position, undoubtedly a weak link of the roster. But by the looks of it this preseason, the wide receivers are a strength, with possibly too many options?
Its a good problem to have, but nonetheless someone will be the odd man out, possibly a newly crowned fan favorite. Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams, Hunter Renfrow, JJ Nelson, and Dwayne Harris seem like safe bets to make the final 53.
That leaves the likes of Rico Gafford and Keon Hatcher probably finding jobs elsewhere, but there will be opportunities nonetheless. Keelan Doss is a fan favorite, and there’s a shot for him to round out the group of receivers. But should any of those expectations change, it could be as a result of what happens against the Seahawks.
