Preview

With the regular season a week away, do not expect to see starters on the field for either of these teams. This is the game where both teams will be playing all of their players that are still battling for roster spots.

For the Raiders, the lineup will be similar to what it was against the Packers a week ago. Expect to see Nathan Peterman and Mike Glennon each get a similar amount of playing time, as this game could decide who stays on the roster if the Raiders don’t keep three quarterbacks.

With all of the receivers fighting to make the roster, along with the QB battle, expect a high powered passing offense from the Raiders. We know how much Jon Gruden loves Keelan Doss, so you can expect a lot of plays tailored towards getting him the ball.

Russell Wilson has played in the last two preseason games, but we most likely will not see him in this game. The Raiders defense will have to deal with Geno Smith and Paxton Lynch, two of the most well known backup quarterbacks in the league.

More importantly, the Seahawks have solid depth at the running back position, so even if we don’t see their starters, the Raiders defense will still have to stop CJ Prosise and JD McKissic. There is a lot of question not only at linebacker, but now at defensive tackle on who will make the roster for week 1, so stopping those running backs will be key not only in winning the game, but in the players impressing the coaches and making a push for a roster spot.
