Johnathan Abram

Johnathan Abram is a unique character who has made his presence known with his mouth, talking trash and with his play on the field. Abram has seen a large amount of playing time considering the other two first-rounders have seen just limited action.

The coaching staff has reiterated during training camp time and time again that they love the way Abram plays hard-nose football. Abram’s will to deliver heavy hits is what many people take notice towards, but it’s his ability to constantly be around the football is what make him so special.

Last season the Raiders secondary struggled dramatically in giving up chunk plays, but with the arrival of Abram, that should be a much improved area on the back-end. Overall, these three draft picks are going to play a large role for the Raiders in 2019 and beyond, and it looks like Mayock and Gruden certainly made the right decisions by drafting them.
